PartnerShip Helps with "NSRA Gives Back" Community Service Event

November 12, 2014 at 12:04 PMLeah Palnik

Last week a couple of our team members joined NSRA and Soles4Souls for a special community service event that provided hundreds of pairs of shoes to homeless men, women, and children at the Chapman Partnership in Miami, Florida. Harry Centa, Senior Program Manager, and Brian Ferancy, Vice President of Sales and Business Development, woke up bright and early to participate in this event, which kicked off the 2014 NSRA Annual Leadership Conference in Hollywood, Florida.

PartnerShip is the endorsed shipping provider of both NSRA and Soles4Souls. We've had a long established alliance with NSRA, and within the past year we started a new partnership with Soles4Souls. PartnerShip now coordinates the shipping from Soles4Souls donor drives like the "NSRA Gives Back" event to distribution points across the country.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Soles4Souls is a global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty. The organization advances its anti-poverty mission by collecting new and used shoes and clothes from individuals, schools, faith-based institutions, civic organizations and corporate partners, then distributing those shoes and clothes both via direct donations to people in need and by provisioning qualified micro-enterprise programs designed to create jobs in poor and disadvantaged communities.

Overall, the "NSRA Gives Back" community service event this year was a great success and provided hundreds of pairs of shoes to those in need. Our employees were very proud to be a part of such an amazing opportunity. To see pictures of the event, check out the photo album on our facebook page

PartnerShip Supports National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 9, 2013 at 7:50 AMScott Frederick

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the employees of PartnerShip are once again supporting the cause by making voluntary donations in exchange for the now universally recognizable pink ribbon.

The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) is a collaboration of national public service organizations, professional medical associations, and government agencies working together to promote breast cancer awareness, share information on the disease, and provide greater access to services.

Although October is designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, NBCAM is dedicated to raising awareness and educating individuals about breast cancer throughout the year. It encourages you to learn more about breast cancer, breast health, and the latest research developments. The few websites shown below are great sources for additional information on breast cancer.

A Charitable PartnerShip for Northeast Aid

November 12, 2012 at 3:04 PMScott Frederick

Catholic Charities and Red Hook InitiativeLast week PartnerShip was able to help support the Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland and the Red Hook Initiative to get important Hurricane Sandy relief supplies from Ohio to New York.

The shipment included canned goods, bottled water, flashlights, candles, paper towels, blankets, and coats. PartnerShip covered the full cost of the shipment and we coordinated the logistics, inlcuding the pickup at Our Lady of Angels School in Cleveland, OH and the delivery at the Red Hook Initiative in Brooklyn, NY.

"PartnerShip being able to help OLA  made my month," said our contact at Catholic Charities Services in Parma, OH. "(My contact) at Our Lady of Angels just called. She was so excited and happy. She talked to someone from PartnerShip and they have arranged to pick up the donations this coming Monday at no cost. She wanted me to extend her thanks to you for the generous offer. She had called others looking for a solution with no results, and then called me (Catholic Charities). Very seldom am I able to give people who call me a solution to their numerous problems. Thank you so much for arranging this for them."

The employees here at PartnerShip really enjoy the good work we do in helping our customers with high-quality, low-cost shipping solutions; but we also take great pride in giving back to the community from time-to-time when we can. After all, that is the nature of any true partnership.
